Since the establishment of our office, Gad has served as a Partner in the firm’s Maritime and Shipping Law Department. Gad’s professional experience includes legal consulting in the fields of maritime and shipping law, commercial litigation in various fields, cargo damage claims in the maritime and aerial transport industry, incidents as part of pilotage claims and damages in port, bodily injury and property damage claims, salvage fees, ship collision claims, joint venture agreements, various commercial agreements, the incorporation and operation of entities in the shipping industry, and appointment as a court receiver for the sale of ships on behalf of the Israeli Maritime Court.
Gad has represented, among others, maritime insurers for air and sea cargo, P&I clubs in London and internationally, ship owners, ship charter and operators, cargo owners and shippers, international container companies, Israeli and foreign forwarding agents and various other entities in the shipping industry.
Gad has served as a mediator/arbitrator in various conflicts and disputes, primarily related to the shipping industry and maritime law. He has provided legal opinions on Israeli law in proceedings held before the Admiralty Court in London and has lectured on Maritime Law at Haifa University.
Appointments:
Gad Shiloh was appointed as the head of the tribunals established under the Israeli Toll Road (Israel National Highways) Law, 1995 and served as the chairman of the appeals committee in Haifa.
